Current Monthly Updates
Notes from Dea's desk

Wow, What a month June was. We put 1860 township maps on line. Christine Scott, a volunteer who lives in LaPorte County, IN, is busy typing the property owners and businesses that will coordinate with these maps. This is a huge project, so big kado's to Christine.
Davis F. "Doc" Ball loaned us his personal book of these 1860 townships for scanning and placing on the web. Thank you Doc!

A warm thank you to all that are continuing to send us in articles, photos and information about Cass County, Michigan. If you would like to see some of the folks that are contributing to the site over the last few months, just check out our Hall Of Fame.

Projects in Progress

Brett Hardesty has most certainly not fallen asleep at the helm, as he has scanned Sumnerville Cemetery records, which we will be typing and also placing on line. And a big thank you must go to Doug Shaffer who allowed us to scan these valuable records for on line display.

Family Histories & Biographies
Please - Per USGenWeb guidelines - No ged coms from family tree maker or any other genealogy based programs. Please submit family information either in biographical or story form. I and other volunteers have done quite a few of the ged com revisions and it really takes a lot of time to alter and remove the repeated information within.

We have people willing to do obituary look ups. Please see our Professional and Volunteer Page. Obits will be looked up and an email sent with the content of what was in obituary.
