Located on the south side of state highway M-60 and Decatur Road 1/4 North of Diamond Lake in Cassopolis. Moon cemetery is next to Kincheloe Memorial Park which was dedicated in honor of Capt. Iven Carl Kincheloe Jr., first person to fly above 100,000 feet to the edge of outer space.

September 14, 2006 - Began process of Cemetery Site reorganization. Please keep in mind that the sites on Cass County were constructed by volunteers and are being maintained by volunteers. This cemetery is a very old cemetery and some stones have weathered poorly and are illegible..

Any time you view an older cemetery, in no matter what county through out the USA, the listing should be considered as a partial listing as many times records are either destroyed through mishap or not all burials were recorded. - Typed for the Internet by: Judy Morgan.

I found the following errors while going over the Lamb family plot: Scrolling down past the Lamb Family stone, the first child is Lydia Obizda- not Grinda; below her is John F- that should be John T.;below him, Jarvus should be Jairus, born 1806, died March 13, 1842, aged 36 years- a photo of his headstone is attached to Jairus A. in the additional notes below, the 2nd photo for Jairus A. appears to correctly be his. And finally, after Jairus A. in the notes section, Ann Eliza is not a Lamb, but wife of G.W. Snider- her correct listing is just before the Lamb Family stone line. This really threw me off until I figured out what had happened in the survey- our Ann Eliza lamb remarried after Jairus' death and NOT to a Snider! She was my Gt, Gt.Grandmother. - Kent A. Gebhard

Footnote #2 - McIntosh, Amanda Benson, removed from Jefferson Co., N.Y. when 11 years of age. Married 1831, (Inscription) "Mother's Grave" "We are marching to Emanuel's ground, to fairer worlds on high; we want no cowards in our band who will their colors fly." (on same stone)
