Mount Zion Methodist Cemetery is located on Mount Zion Street, Calvin
township. Legal description - Located Northeast corner of Southeast corner of
the swoutheast section of 24.As quoted: 1940's DAR listing - Many if not
indeed most of the burials are those of [colored] people Many of the families
of this race settled in Calvin township following the Civil War. The first
listing shown is the oldest listing donw by the DAR and researchers in the
1940's. Some stones have weathered and/or no longer exist. Therefore I felt it
was vital to place this additional record on line.
