James J. Huff  -  A distant cousin, Eleanor HUFF NIELSEN gave me photos of portraits of James J. HUFF & his wife Sarah THATCHER HUFF. They are the parents of Isaac HUFF-husband of Josephine AFFANTRANGER HUFF. James died in Butler Co. OH and then was reinterred in Crane Cemetery, so he was buried next to his wife Sarah. Sarah died in Cass Co.
Josephine AKA Jo are all images of Josephine Amphratrite AFFANTRANGER Huff. Born 30 Sept 1816 on the Atlantic Ocean (Source obituary & her tombstone in Anderson Cemetery, Van Buren Co.) Wife of Isaac Huff. She died 20 Jul 1882 in Volinia, Cass Co. MI. Her middle name was given to her after she was born on a ship with the same name.

Rebecca b. 1850 in Cass Co., MI. She and her brothers were the children of Sarah Case and John Huff who settled in Cass Co in about 1834.

Rebecca m Charles Nash in about 1867 or 68. He was a Civil War Veteran and died in 1872 as a resul of illness contracted during his service with the 1st Mich. Sharpshooters. They had a daughter, Alice Nash born 1871.
Rebecca then married Augustus Blessing on 23 Jan 1875. They had 3 children:
Charles, Alda and Izola. Rebecca d. 1942 Kalamazoo Co., MI.

They are the parents of Mary Caroline (Knapp) Sammons (1836-1921),,,,,,she was married to Daniel Tinkham Sammons (1829-1907). They lived in Silver Creek, then to Pipestone, and finally in Hartford. Four daughters: Caroline L. (1856-1871), Emaretta (1858-after 1930) md. Morgan Averill, Orpha (1860-1934) md. Henry James Meachum I, Lany (1867-1929) md. Read Yeckley. Stockdale Twins with two other sets - Cassopolis School - 1941  Newspaper article was in newspapers across the country because of the three sets of twins in this small town in Michigan. This was first grade in Cassopolis Elementary School in 1941. Myrtle and Roy Watts My gg grandparents and grandparents from Cass County, Michigan. My g grandmother is Lorena (Rena) Oyler Watts, the daughter of Daniel Charles Oyler and Catherine Robinson Oyler. Rena married James H. Watts. Their son, Roy Oyler Watts, is my grandfather. They had six children; however, my grandfather was the only one of three surviving adults to marry. J.H. and Rena moved to Mt. Ayr, Indiana before moving to Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas in 1892.  Deborah Goodman

** Huff - Additional information - Rebecca Huff in above photo was born in 1850 in Cass County, being the daughter of Sarah Case & John Huff. They seetled in Cass County circa 1834. Rebecca first married in 1867 or 68 to Charles Narsh, he being forn in 1845. Charles served in the Civil War and he died in 1872 as a result of illnesses contracted during his service in the Michigan Sharpshooters. They had a daughter, Alice Nash, born in 1871.
Rebeccas then married Augustus Blessing on 23 Jan 1875. They had three children; Charles, Alda and Izola. Rebecca dies 1942 in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.
