KISLINGBURY, LANKSBURY, PEARCE, WHITFORD posted by Nancy Custer on Sunday, March 28, 1999

This is only a thin thread of a clue that I have. When I was a child, everytime we passed a sign for Niles, Michigan my mother would remark that Niles was where my great-great grandmother Ann WHITFORD KISLINGBURY PEARCE was in a train wreck while traveling to visit her sister Christina LANKSBURY. I am not sure whether Christina was in Niles or nearby nor when the train wreck was. My mother seemed to imply that it was a fairly significant wreck. I would be interested in hearing from anyone researching the Lanksbury surname in the area and from anyone who could give me a timeframe for the train wreck. Thank you.
