Every Memorial Day the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wills Twp. Inc. members and friends gather and pay homage to the Veterans and loved ones buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Wills township.
The event starts with folks gathering and placing flowers and tributes to thier loved ones at their graves along with flowers being placed at the foot of the flag pole with the flag flying at half-mast.
Flags also adorn the graves of the known veterans buried within this cemetery. Then the Fish Lake American Legion Post honor the veterans with the squad firing a rifle salute and the playing taps.A Fellowship Luncheon is offered to all in attendance for a very minimal fee. Pat VanDierendonck boasted about "her girls" (pictured with Pat below). This group of wonderful young ladies chipped in and did what ever was necessary.
