Kaufmann, Rudolph – Died Feb 24, 1949 Rudolph Kaufmann, 80, of 8456 Euclid Avenue. Chicago, died at ll:05 o'clock this morning at the Fairview hospital. The son of Andrew and Louise Kaufmann, he was born in Chicago on April 8, 1868.
On. Jan. 8,1890 in LaPorte he was married to Sophia Lange, who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Dora Evans of Whiting and Mrs. Christine Bryan, Chicago. One daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Griesel Chapel, 10240 Ewing avenue, Chicago, with the Rev. Mr. Stauch officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lake cemetery. O.M. She had been a resident of this city since 1920. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Marvin Haas funeral home with Rev. Floyd H. Pence officiating. Burial will be in Heston. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening and Monday until the hour of service. Mrs. Keene was born Nov. 27, 1877, in Illinois, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Arnst. She was married Dec. 12, 1897, in New Buffalo, to Frank Keene, who preceded her in death in 1909. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Iseminger, this city; and Mrs. Charles Ritzler, Buchanan, Mich.; and four grandchildren. The deceased had been a member of the First Christian church, Women’s Relief Corps, Daughters of America, Royal Neighbors, Women’s Benefit Assn. and the Conservation club.
Kelley, Joseph C. - News Dispatch, Michigan City, Ind - Monday, January 11, 1954 Joseph C. Kelley, 78, Elsie, Mich., was dead on arrival at Doctors Hospital at 8:15 p.m. Saturday after suffering a heart attack at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. He was visiting here.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.m. Wednesday in the Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald C. Ford officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow afternoon and evening and Wednesday until the hour of the service. Mr. Kelley was born Sept 6, 1875 in Clair County, Mich.
Surviving are six sons - Vernal of Ovid, Mich,; Joseph and Roy borh of Muskegon, Mich,; Donal and Neil both of this city; three daughters; Mrs. Robert Crimp and Mrs. Frieda Isenblatter, both of Halfmoon Bay, Calif., and Mrs. Norman Kelley of Detroit, Mich., and 34 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be tomorrow at 1 P.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. John R. Allen officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and tomorrow until the service. She ws born in Kingsley, Mich., April 27, 1917, the daughter of Joseph and Elnora Spooner Kelley. Survivors included four children Donal, of Dallas, Tex., and J. Kimberley, Rishard and Mrs. Dianna Malloy., all of Detroit; her mother, Mrs. Elnora Buchan, this city; six brothers - Larry G. Kelley, this city; Donal Kelley, Elsie, Mich.; Dale Kelley, Battle Creek, Mich.; Vernal Kelley, Kingsley, Mich.; Joseph Kelley, Muskegan, Mich., and Neil Kelley, South Haven, Mich.; fours sisters -- Mrs. Frieda Mielke, South Haven, Michi., Mrs. Mary Jo Lehman, Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Beatrice Hunneycut, Wanatah, and Eva Kelley, Halfmoon Bay, Calif., and six grandchildren.

He was born, July 9, 1910 in Roswell, S.D. to Herman and Myrtle (Franklin) Kenyon and had lived here for 33 years, coming here from Roswell. He was married April 8, 1934 in Mitchell, S.D. to Iris Kewley. Mr. Kenyon was a member of the First United Methodist Church, LaPorte Excelsior Lodge 41, Convenant Shrine 21 and was Past Watchman of the Shepherds. Mr. Kenyon was a retired employee of Allis Chalmers. Surviving are his wife, one son, Franklin Kenyon of LaPorte, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. One son and his parents preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at the Haverstock Funeral home with Rev. W. Leon Hartman officiating. Burial will be at Patton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today until the time of services.

Kenyon, 81 of Schneider drive, Oregon Wis., died at her home last night following an illness of one month. She was born Sept. 27, 1881 in Parker, S.D., to Lafayette and Emma Franklin and had lived in Wisconsin for one and a half years, going there from LaPorte. She was married in 1909 in Parker to Herman Kenyon. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, was a past noble grand of the Rebekah lodge, and a past officer in the Royal Neighbors. Surviving are on son Keith Kenyon, LaPorte; on Grandson, Franklin Kenyon, Kingsford Heights, and one sister, Mrs. Flora Miller, Hannah. Her husband, one brother and one sister [preceded her in death. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm Monday at ther Haverstock Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Floy L. Blewfield officiating and burial in Patton Cemetery. Friends may call at the Haverstock chapel from tomorrow evening and until the time of the services. Kerwin, 89, of Michigan City, died Friday, April 11, 1997, at 6:45 p.m. at St. Anthony Hospital. The funeral and burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Kilmer, Mrs. - Probably Mrs. Henry Kilmer - Daily Herald, Wed, Dec 6, 1894 Mrs. Kilmer living west of here died Wednesday after an illness of almost a year. She was laid to rest in the Eight Square cemetery by many sorrowing friends. To know her was to love her.
Klettke, Mrs. Otilie - - MCND - Mon. 19 June 1944 - Mrs. Otillie Klettke, 70, 324 Butler, resident oft his city for 52 years, died at 10:50 Saturday monring at St.. Anthony hospital, after an illness of two weeks. She was born July 10., 1873, in Germany, the daughter of the late August and Augusta Brose. She was married June 6, 1893, in Jefferson Wis., to Henry Klettke who survives. a Also surviving are the folowing children: Albert and BervaseKlettke, Gary, Paul, Fred, Lawrence and Joesph Klettke, Mrs. Herman Kambs and Mrs. Clarence Crowl all of this city and Mrs. Warren Cannon, Gary; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Poeppel, Wauwatosa,Wis., and a brother, Otto Brose, Bever Ore.
She was a member of St. Mary's of the IMmaculate Conception church and the Rosary Society oft hat church. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Rev. E. H. Vurpillat will officiate and burial in Calvary.
Friends may call at the Ott Funeral chapel Tuesday afternoon and evening and Wednesday until the hour of service. Kohlman, 70, of 818 Wabash Street, Michigan City, died Thursday at 8:50 p.m. at St. Anthony hospital after a three-week illness. She was born in Knox, Indiana on July 12, 1903 to Lawrence and Margaret Freese. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception in Michigan City. She was married to Louis Kohlman who preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clara Oman, Michigan City; Mrs. Glenn Frazee, Mesa, Oklahoma; Mrs. Ray Morford, Cape Coral, Florida; four brothers, Clifford, Clyde, Curtis, and Jesse Freese, all of LaPorte; three sisters, Bernice Logus, Fort Ogden, Florida; Mrs. Lorraine Thomas, Grand Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. Esther Black, also of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters precede her in death. Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday at St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception church with the Rev. Albert Zimmerman officiating. Scriptural services will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Carlisle Funeral home, Michigan City. Kreidler, Mrs. Linda - Michigan City News Dispatch July 6, 1943 pg. 3 c 1 -- Mrs. Linda Kreidler, 31, 1119 Broadway, South Bend died at 12:10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's hospital, Mishawaka of injuries received in an auto accident last Thursday. She was born in Laporte on August 13, 1911 and had lived in South Bend nine years, going there form LaPorte. In 1934 she married Elmer Kreidler who died five years ago. Survivors are her parents, Mr and Mrs Emil Baker, South Bend; three brothers, Harry, Laporte, Walter, this city, Earl, Riverside, California and a stepsister, Mrs. Katherine Klughardt and a step brother, Edwin of South Bend. Krug, Mrs. August - June 2, 1935 The funeral of Mrs. August (Leona Liedtke) Krug will take place at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon from the Carlisle Funeral Home. Rev. A. T. Buckler, pastor of St Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, will conduct the services. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. The body may be viewed this evening and Wednesday at the Carlisle funeral home. Mrs. Krug was born December 29, 1908 in Michigan City and is survived by her husband, August Krug, her father Otto Liedtke and five brothers and two sisters.
KRUEGER , ADOLPH - Michigan City News Dispatch March 12, 1942 - Adolph Herman Krueger, 69, died at 5 this morning at his home, 816 Cleveland, after an illness of four years. He had been employed as a watchman at Michiana Products. He was born April 19, 1872 in Germany and had been a resident of this city for 40 years. He was married here on Feb. 13, 1904, to Caroline Feil who survives. Also surviving are several children: Mrs. Stanley Kaufman, Mrs. Russell Schwanke, both of this city, Mrs. Lloyd Hartford, Carl and Walter, Battle Creek, Albert, St. Louis, Adolph, Detroit; six grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Jesch, this city, Ferdinand Jesch, Cuba City [sic s/b Yuba City], Cal., and one sister in Germany. Elwood A KRUGER, 74, of 215 B Street, died at 1:04 p.m. Thursday at Pine Lake division hospital. He had been ill for 13 years.
Mr. KRUGER was born in LaPorte on July 31, 1894 to William and Lucy (DUNN) KRUGER. He lived here all his life. He was married in LaPorte on July 31, 1915 to Ethel McGARITY, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, James, of Portage, Ind.; five daughters, Mrs. Leland (Martha) BRADY, Mrs. Ernest (Enid) SCHMIDT and Mrs. Jack (Barbara) TRAVIS, all of La Porte; Mrs. Harry (Meredith) MEYER, Mill Creek; and Mrs. W. R. (Eunice) STICKLEN, Champaign, Ill.; 18 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry W. KRUGER, LaPorte; one sister, Mrs. George BATCHER, LaPorte. Two sons, one daughter, four brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cutler Brothers Funeral home. The Rev. Alvin EMBRY will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Lake cemetery. Hughes, 1318 1/2 Washington street, at 1 p.m. today. Deat was caused by apoplexy. Mr. Kuehne, who lived at No. 1 Kuehne court was working at the property at 1318 1/2 Washington street when he took ill. His wife was called and reached his side a few minutes before he passed away. The deceased man is survived by his widow, three daughters and two stepsons. The funeral arrangements had not been made this afternoon. L. A. Decker is the undertaker. August Kuehn, age 74, No. 1 Kuehne court, and who died suddenly Tuesday noon at 1318 Washington street, was born in Germany April 14, 1848. He came to this country from Germany and had lived in La Porte for many years. He was an employee of the Advance Rumely company for a long time. Mr. Kuehne married Emma Zieke in Germany. She passed away 16 years ago. In 1908 he married Helene Hein. The deceased man was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. Besides the widow, three daughters from Mr. Kuehne's first marriage survive. They are: Mrs. Bathasar Luchsinger of La Porte; Mrs. August Wolf, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. D. E. Baker, Portland, Ore. Two stepsons, Robert O. Hein, Chicago, and Walter Hein, Dayton, O., also survive besides six grandchildren. The funeral services will be held at the residence at 2 p.m. Saturday . The Rev. G. G. Bratzel will be the minister in charge . Burial will be at Pine Lake cemetery with L. A. Decker in charge.Kuehne, Helen La Porte Herald Argus, June 1, 1925: Helen Kuehne, widow of the late August Kuehne, died at her home, No. 1 Kuehne court, at 10 p.m. Saturday. She was 58 years old. Mrs. Kuehne was born in Germany and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Putskow. She had lived here since 1908, which was the year she left Berlin, Germany. She leaves two sons and three stepdaughters. They are Robert O. Hein of Chicago, Walter R. Hein of Dayton, O., Mrs. Anna Luchsinger of La Porte, Mrs. Helen Wolff of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Ella Baker of Portland, Ore. One grandson also survives. Mrs. Kuehne was married to August Kuehne in this city in 1908. Her first husband died in Germany. Funeral rites will be held at the home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. G. G. Bratzel will be in charge. Burial will be at Pine Lake cemetery. L. A. Decker is the funeral director.

September 1, 1875, she was united in marriage with Henry Kuhn, who preceded her in death 25 years ago. Those left to mourn her loss included four daughters, Mrs. Anna Steele of Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. John Ness of Underwood, North Dakota, Mrs. James Trainor of Indiana Harbor, Mrs. Della Harkness of this city, and one son, Charles Kuhn, also of LaPorte. Friends wishing to view the remains may do so at the home of her son, Charles, at 102 State street. The funeral service and burial will be at Sauktown at 11 o'clock Sunday morning. Cutler Bros. are in charge.
