Information on burials in this cemetery.

January 25, 1840 DEATH: The undersigned, administrator of the Estate of SAMUEL MILLER, late of La Porte County, Indiana, deceased, will sell at public auction on Monday the 17th day of February, 1840, the personal property of said decedent.

November 21, 1849 DEATH: The undersigned having been appointed administrator of the Estate of SAMUEL NEVINS, deceased, late of La Porte County, Indiana, hereby notify all persons having claims against said estate, to present the same legally authenticated for settlement within one year from this date. November 24, 1849 MORGAN NEVINS, administrator MORTIMER NEVINS, administrator [obit from December 1, 1849] Died: In Kingsbury, Indiana, September 23d, Mr. SAMUEL NEVINS, aged 63 years. Mr. N. came into the town of Hanover, in this country in the year 1810, where he resided until 1846. He then removed to Indiana. One of the earliest settlers in this county, he became acquainted with the hardships of this then uncultivated district, and contributed as much perhaps, as any other man in it, to its present prosperous condition. The changes of life (and to him they were many and abrupt) effected no changes in his consistant and upright course. In the discharge of every duty, as a man and a Christian, in the evenness, and proverbial correctness of his life, he secured the good will of all who knew him, and has bequeathed to his family and the world [an] unspotted reputation. He secured his own happiness by administering to the happiness of others; and those of his acquaintences who have been the most needy, can best appreciate the goodness and benevolence of his heart. Modest and unassuming, he passed quietly through the world, and has now gone up to enjoy the rewards of pure and christian life.

January 31, 1855 DEATH: Notice is hereby given that at the January Term, 1855 of the Court of Common Pleas of La Porte County, after final settlement of the Estate of ANDREW HARVEY, deceased, Nineteen hundred and thirty?four dollars and thirty?three cents ($1,934.33) was found remaining in the hands of the administrator for distribution among the heirs.

October 21, 1857 DEATH: On Stillwell Prairie, Oct. 1st, Miss JULIAETTE HARVEY, aged 26 years.

May 12, 1858 DEATH: The undersigned has been appointed administrator of the Estate of HUBBARD WILMOT, late of La Porte County, deceased. May 8, 1858 ISAIH ATKINS, administrator

November 9, 1861 DEATH: On Stillwell Prairie, October 26th ult., of consumption, Miss ELIZA A. HARVEY. A beloved and much esteemed friend and sister has been taken from earth; her spirit has goon to try the realities of an unseen and brighter world. For six months past has she been lingering with that fatal disease which resulted in her death. Through all her severe afflictions she was never heard to murmur or complain. She said she would not suffer more than was right for her to suffer. Although she wished not for human praise yet had she lived she no doubt would have merited the title "Mission of the Beautiful".

Wife of Thomas Stillwell.... dates unknown.
