Sauktown Cemetery Tornado Damage October 24, 2001

On October 24, 2001 a tornado hit LaPorte County and did quite a bit of damage in the Wills Township area. Fortunately 99% of the stones in this cemetery were unaffected by the falling timbers. Plans are in motion now to tend to the clean up. We do not have this cemetery listing on line yet, but thought we would post the pictures of the tornado and damage done.

Clean up efforts began a few weekends ago. Holly Jenks along with workers and the Hudson Tree Company of New Carlisle,Indiana commenced removing debris and repairing. Below are a few photos of these efforts that are on going.
